Since my last post…….I bet I’ve spent another 20 hrs on this piece during the past three days. Finally getting close. “I think”.
My mentor once told me, “You spend 10% of the time roughing in 90% of the piece….and 90% of the time on the last 10% of the piece.” Truth.

First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like
to assk if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear
your head before writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my
mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly ddo enjoy
writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or
hints? Thaqnk you!

Key to writing…..be fearless and be simple. Let every word mean something. I once heard the phrase…”The sparseness of Hemingway”. Soak that one up.
Let your writing ‘mean something’. Don’t just write to fill space. Lastly….write what you alone like to read. Don’t write for other people, write for you.
